Вспышка пневмонии неизвестной этиологии в городе Ухань в Китае, официальные сведения о которой были впервые опубликованы 31 декабря 2019 г. китайским офисом Всемирной организации здравоохранения, привлекла внимание не только узких специалистов, но и всей мировой общественности и 30 января 2020 г. была признана чрезвычайной ситуацией в здравоохранении, имеющей международное значение. Первые случаи заболевания были зарегистрированы 12 декабря 2019 г. в Китае, а 31 января 2020 г. было сообщено о случаях выявления данной инфекции на территории России у двух граждан Китая. Возбудитель инфекции — новый коронавирус SARS-CoV-2, который ранее не выявлялся, был идентифицирован китайскими исследователями 7 января 2020 г. Цель работы: систематизация информации о коронавирусной инфекции COVID-2019 с начала эпидемии до начала марта 2020 г. Представлены общие сведения о коронавирусах, хроника эпидемии COVID-2019, вызванной коронавирусом SARS-CoV-2, и оценка глобальной эпидемической ситуации.
