The Journal has introduced new submission requirements for articles involving disproportionality analyses, aligned with the international READUS-PV (Reporting of Disproportionality Analyses in PharmacoVigilance) statement. Starting from July 2026, submitting a completed READUS-PV checklist through the online editorial platform is a mandatory requirement for all manuscripts of this study design.

Recent years have witnessed an exponential increase in published articles on disproportionality analyses using spontaneous reporting databases. However, the lack of standardized reporting often leads to incomplete and ambiguous data, carrying the risk of misinterpreting results and diluting true safety signals into overwhelming noise. Adhering to the READUS-PV checklist (comprising 14 items for the main text and 4 for the abstract) will ensure transparency, completeness, and adequate interpretation of the findings.
