Renad N. Alyautdin, Full Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Division for Evaluation of Medicinal Products Safety of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Scientific Centre for Expert Evaluation of Medicinal Products” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Professor of the Chair of Pharmacology of the Faculty of Pharmacy (A.P. Nelyubin Institute of Pharmacy) of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (Sechenov University).
Research interests
Research interests of Dr Alyautdin include neuropharmacology, targeted drug delivery, and assessment of the safety of pharmacotherapy. He has mainly engaged in research on neuropharmacology and the development of methods for targeted delivery of active substances through the blood-brain barrier. Building on the results of experimental studies, Dr. Alyautdin has developed the principles of targeted delivery of neurotropic medicines differing in chemical nature to the brain using polymer nanosystems. The experimental models created on the basis of his studies have opened the door to the analysis of nerve growth factor effectiveness in trauma and neurodegenerative disease, which is aimed at developing novel neurotropic medicinal products.
Publication activity
Dr Alyautdin has authored more than 300 research articles published locally and internationally in peer-reviewed scientific journals in Russian and in English; 15 monographs and textbooks; and 8 medical patents issued in the Russian Federation, the USA, and the European Union, which inter alia include inventions in medical nanotechnology.
His RSCI Hirsch index is 24, and his Scopus Hirsch index is 19.
