The Journal has introduced new submission requirements for articles involving disproportionality analyses, aligned with the international READUS-PV (Reporting of Disproportionality Analyses in PharmacoVigilance) statement.

Antidepressants are more effective than placebo at improving treatment response and have similar tolerability to placebo. Fewer participants dropped out due to lack of effectiveness in the antidepressant group compared with the placebo group, and more participants dropped out due to unwanted effects in the antidepressant group compared with the placebo group.

The journal Safety and Risk of Pharmacotherapy has been indexed in Scopus and, based on the evaluation results, assigned to the second quartile (Q2). Vladimir K. Lepakhin, Dr.Sci. (Med.), Professor, a renowned pharmacologist, Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of International Academy of Higher School Sciences and honorable member of Royal College of Physicians (London), reached the age of 85 years on February 11, 2026.
